Ms. Effman is of counsel to Anderson, Moschetti & Taffany, PLLC and handles all types of personal injury litigation as well as medical malpractice actions and criminal matters.

Ms. Effman previously worked as in-house counsel for two national insurance carriers handling personal injury defense litigation.  She has successfully handled numerous personal injury cases from commencement of litigation through jury trial in various courts throughout the Capital Region including Albany County, Columbia County, Saratoga County, Schenectady County and Ulster County.

She has defended a number of clients in criminal matters ranging from felonies including murder, assault, burglary and robbery to an array of misdemeanors in local court. In addition, she previously worked in the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office and began her legal career as an Assistant County Attorney in Criminal Division of the Yuma County Attorney’s Office in Yuma, Arizona.

She has argued appeals before the Third Department, Appellate Division of the State of New York as well as in the New York Court of Appeals. In addition, she serves on the Albany County Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association Criminal Justice Section Executive Committee.
