David Taffany graduated from State University at Albany in 1979 with honors. In 1984, he received his law degree from Albany Law School. As a former partner with the law firm E. Stewart Jones in Troy, New York, he specialized in personal injury, wrongful death, complex medical malpractice, products liability, and labor law cases. He has received numerous verdicts and settlements in excess of $1 million for his clients.

Additionally, Mr. Taffany is involved in the defense of individuals charged with criminal offenses and has obtained numerous acquittals for clients who have been charged with felonies or misdemeanors. Selected as an alternative dispute resolution arbitrator/mediator in the Northern District of New York, he has argued appeals at the state and federal levels. Mr. Taffany lectures to lawyers and law students regarding personal injury, criminal law, and trial practice.
